About
Born in Tehran and based in Berlin, pianist Arghavan Sadeghipour appears internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, with performances at venues including Salle Cortot in Paris, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Pierre Boulez Saal, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Piano Salon Christophori, and the Musikinstrumenten-Museum Berlin.
Her repertoire centres on works by Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, and Janáček, spanning key works of the Classical and Romantic piano literature alongside selected works from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
She studied at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin with Eldar Nebolsin, before completing her Master’s degree at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg with Aleksandar Madžar.
She began her musical education at the age of eleven at the Tehran Conservatory of Music, graduating with the highest honours and receiving first prize at the Biennial Music Competition in Tehran at the age of fifteen.
She is a regular guest at international festivals such as IMS Prussia Cove, PianoFest Sint-Niklaas, Musique à Flaine, Musique au Palais Toulouse, and the Festival de Jóvenes Intérpretes de Armilla.
Alongside her performing career, she teaches at the Béla Bartók Music School and the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Music School in Berlin.
